Our express lube services are designed to meet the oil and fluid requirements of any preventive maintenance regimen. Over time, fluids break down and need to be replaced. Take your engine as an example. In order to keep it operating at an adequate temperature, you need to properly lubricate your gears and remove heat from the block. Engine coolant and engine oil do this well, but over time they break down due to the extreme heat of your engine. Engine coolant should be replaced every 3 to 6 thousand miles. Engine coolant, on the other hand, should be replaced every 30 to 60 thousand miles. 

Components That Need Oil or Fluid

Heavy-Duty Diesel Engines

In order for your heavy-duty diesel engine to run properly, it needs both oil and coolant. Your engine oil is responsible for lubricating the various moving parts within your engine, and your coolant is responsible for absorbing and dispersing heat. Over time both of these fluids break down and need to be replaced. If you’re in need of an oil or coolant change, give us a call, and we’ll book you in for service. 

Transmission and Differential Fluid

Your transmission and differentials both need fluid in order to lubricate their moving gears. Since your transmission and differentials don’t get nearly as hot as your engine, their fluids don’t need to be replaced at the same rate. Most manufacturers recommend you change your transmission and differential fluids once every 60 thousand miles, but depending on your towing and hauling habits, that interval may change.
